Next, I tried downloading the latest driver on the audient site and restarting the computer, and now, without the cloudlifter, I can't get any audio at all through my headphones (though when I replay the recording through my DAW it's there-but still at unworkably low wavelengths, almost flat). I tried changing my DAW settings from mono to stereo, and either way the input was just really low. When I first plugged it all in, my DAW was only recording really thin wavelengths (super quiet) even at full volume and full gain, even with the cloudlifter (I tried this in both Audacity and Garageband-it's just really quiet in either of them). I'm doing voiceover work and am using a Shure SM7B, a cloudlifter, and the Audient iD4 interface. I'm new to the audio world, so bear with me. Hi all!
